You already know this software; the words are just different.
| You know… | In VT it's… |
| The project drive for a client | This repo (~/videos/<client>/) — brand + every job lives here |
| The style guide PDF | STYLE.md (colors, type, do's/don'ts — readable text) |
| The brand bin (logos, fonts, music, stings) | library/assets/ → the Brand tab in the app's Library |
| Your Essential Graphics / .mogrt folder | library/looks/ → the ★ Looks tab. A "look" = a finished animated graphic saved as a reusable template |
| A sequence | A project folder under projects/ — open it from the app |
| The timeline | The timeline (tracks, lock/hide, filmstrips — it works like you expect) |
| Cutting on the timeline | Mostly you cut in the transcript: delete words = delete that footage |
| Your junior motion designer | The agent in the terminal drawer — it's just there when you open a project (✦ <client> · ready) |
You don't operate an effects panel — you brief a junior. Type what you want in the drawer ("title card like the reference, quieter, green only on 'unlock'"), watch the preview update, then finish by hand: drag/resize on the canvas, nudge on the timeline, retype text with ✎ on any graphic card. word in a text field makes that word the brand emphasis (e.g. the green word).
checkpoints (top right) → roll back. You cannot permanently wreck anything.Ship two things:
library/assets/), STYLE.md real, and the recurring graphics built with the agent, polished by you, and ★-saved with clear names. The test of your library: a junior editor can ship episode 2 without you. That's the hand-off. You do the taste; the system carries it forward.
⚗ Bake → watch your export. That's the whole daily loop.
